School Holiday : Holidays are loved by everyone, whether young or old. The month of October is going to be full of festivities, which means schools will remain closed on multiple days. In Chhattisgarh, the holiday season is expected to begin even earlier with Dussehra vacations starting in September itself. A proposal has already been placed before the state government, and according to the circular issued by the Directorate of Public Education, schools may remain closed for an extended period.
Dussehra School Holiday List
As per the circular, Dussehra holidays will be observed from September 29 to October 4. Since Sundays fall just before and after these dates, the total break could stretch up to eight days. This means students will enjoy a long festive holiday at the beginning of October.
Diwali Holidays
The proposal also includes holidays for Diwali. Schools will remain closed from October 20 to October 25. Similar to Dussehra, this period is also aligned with Sundays on both ends, which makes the Diwali break last for a total of eight days.
Winter Vacations
The holiday list also mentions the schedule for winter vacations. Schools will remain closed from December 22 to December 27, giving students a six-day winter break.
Summer Vacations
The next year’s summer vacation is also finalized. Schools will remain closed from May 1, 2026, to June 15, 2026. This will be the longest break in the academic calendar, lasting a total of 46 days.
October – A Month Full of Festivals
Apart from Dussehra and Diwali, October will witness several major festivals and national days, due to which schools, colleges, and even government offices will remain closed. Additionally, four Sundays fall in the month, making the holiday calendar even longer. With so many breaks lined up, October is surely going to be a month of holidays for students and families alike.
