Amul Price Cut : Amul has given a big gift to its customers. The company has decided to reduce the prices of nearly 700 products, including milk, ghee, butter, ice cream, and frozen snacks. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which sells products under the Amul brand, announced that the new prices will be effective from 22nd September. With this, over 700 Amul products will become cheaper. Amul made this decision following the announcement of a reduction in GST rates.
Ghee and Butter to Become Cheaper
Under the new rates, ghee will see the most significant impact, with prices reduced by ₹40 per liter. Similarly, the MRP of Amul Butter (100 gm pack) has been reduced from ₹62 to ₹58. The company stated that this move aims to directly benefit customers and make everyday products more accessible for households.
The 1 kg Amul Processed Cheese Block will now cost ₹545 per kg, down by ₹30. The new MRP of 200 gm frozen paneer will be ₹95 from 22nd September, reduced from ₹99. UHT milk prices have also been reduced by ₹3 per liter. Additionally, prices of Amul’s bakery and frozen snacks have been revised.
In a statement, the company said, “Amul believes that the price reduction will increase the consumption of dairy products, especially ice cream, paneer, and butter, as per capita consumption in India is still very low, creating significant growth opportunities.”
GCMMF clarified that this price cut demonstrates its commitment to passing the full GST benefit to consumers. The statement further mentioned that Amul has always prioritized delivering high-quality dairy and food products at competitive prices to people.
Mother Dairy Also Reduced Prices
Before Amul, Mother Dairy had also announced a reduction in milk prices by ₹2 per liter from 22nd September. The company has also reduced prices of paneer, butter, cheese, and ice cream.
